Young Jin Choi
Seminarian Missions Scholarship
The Angeles Samaritan Mission, established by Young Jin and Jung Gil Choi in 2004 to support missions, will award this scholarship to a full-time seminary student with a vision for overseas missions. Once the seminarian is selected, the Angeles Samaritan Mission will match tax-deductible donations on behalf of the seminarian up to $5,000/semester, primarily to be used to cover tuition, books, and school/ministry expenses. This scholarship is renewable for the spring 2025 semester based on an educational/ministry update letter received by January 15th, 2025.
Requirements include:
- Resume noting educational, professional, and ministry experience, including degrees earned and GPA.
- 3 Essays (500 words or less each)
- A statement of your conversion and Christian experience, including significant spiritual events in your life.
- A statement explaining your long term goals and how pursuing a theological education and this scholarship will benefit them.
- If married, to the spouse of the applicant: A statement of your thoughts and feelings about your spouse’s desire to go to seminary and overseas missions.
- 2 Reference letters explaining why the seminarian would be a good candidate for this scholarship.
- 1 from a seminary professor
- 1 from the current ministry supervisor
